Poly Gloss MDF Production Line

Surface preparation, multilayer coating and curing for decorative MDF panels. Coating chemistry, finish and equipment layout are selected around the product and project capacity.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

From MDF surface to decorative finish

MDF panels move from surface cleaning through coating and curing stations. Layer composition and curing method must suit the selected coating and final finish; roller coaters, the UV dryer and excimer unit are considered against those requirements.

Product specifications, materials and factory conditions guide the equipment and line-layout review.

PROJECT CONFIGURATION

A line arranged around the product

  • Roller-station layout matched to the coating-layer sequence
  • Curing method selected for the coating chemistry
  • Excimer unit assessed against the target surface finish
  • Line width, speed and panel handling matched to the project

Before selecting the line

Answers about the process, materials and project configuration.

How is the Poly Gloss MDF process defined?

The process starts with MDF surface preparation, followed by multiple coating layers and curing. Station order depends on the coating chemistry, layer thicknesses and final finish. These requirements are reviewed before the line layout is selected.

Do all coatings use the same curing method?

No. Polyester coatings, UV systems and lamination processes must be matched to their material formulation and suitable curing method. Coating compatibility with the dryer and the need for excimer processing are determined during the project review.

What information is needed to review the line?

Provide MDF dimensions and thickness, core surface condition, coating formulation and thickness, a colour and finish reference, target capacity and plant information. These inputs guide the selection of coating and curing stations.

Can the line be configured for custom colours and designs?

Custom colours and designs are reviewed alongside the coating specification and a surface sample. The technical proposal should define the required equipment, layer sequence and product settings; the result also depends on the materials, core and process conditions.
