Illustration of a PVC edge-banding extrusion line in a production hall

PVC Edge Banding Production Line

PVC edge-band production from extrusion and die forming through cooling, haul-off, primer application and collection. Width, thickness, colour and finishing options are matched to MDF and furniture requirements.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

From PVC material to edge band

Material is processed in the extruder and passes through the die. After cooling and haul-off, the strip can receive embossing and primer before collection, according to the product. Printing and UV coating are reviewed as finishing options in the line proposal.

Product specifications, materials and factory conditions guide the equipment and line-layout review.

PROJECT CONFIGURATION

A line arranged around the product

  • Single- or twin-screw extruder selected for the product
  • Single- or multiple-outlet die selected for dimensions and capacity
  • Coordinated cooling, haul-off and winding
  • Embossing, primer, printing and UV according to project scope
  • PLC and HMI for line settings

Before selecting the line

Answers about the process, materials and project configuration.

What are the main PVC edge-band production stages?

Fed material is processed in the extruder and shaped in the die. The strip passes through cooling and haul-off, receives any required surface treatment or primer, and is finally collected and wound.

Does every line include printing, embossing and UV coating?

These units are selected for the strip design, texture and application. Embossing, multicolour printing, primer and UV coating must be defined in the technical proposal; all of them are not assumed in every configuration.

How are the extruder and die selected?

PVC material composition, strip width and thickness and target capacity guide extruder selection and die outlet count. The single-outlet die illustration is one configuration example; other options are reviewed against the product specification.

What information is needed for a line proposal?

Send strip width and thickness, material formulation and colour, a design or texture sample, primer and finishing needs, target capacity, roll size and plant information. These inputs guide the line layout and auxiliary equipment.
