Printing MDF 3mm Production Line

Decorative printing and UV coating on thin MDF for printed 3mm panels. Surface preparation, colour layers and the final coating are coordinated around the core, design and required finish.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

From thin MDF to printed panels

Raw thin MDF is cleaned, coloured and decoratively printed before receiving its final UV coating. Finished thickness comes from the core together with the coating layers; woodgrain, stone and decorative colour designs are reviewed for the product.

Product specifications, materials and factory conditions guide the equipment and line-layout review.

PROJECT CONFIGURATION

A line arranged around the product

  • Core thickness selected for a nominal 3mm finished panel
  • Colour, print and final UV-coating layer sequence
  • Air-jet and UV drying matched to the surface materials
  • Thin-MDF handling and line layout matched to the plant

Before selecting the line

Answers about the process, materials and project configuration.

What core is used for printed 3mm MDF?

In the described process, a raw MDF core approximately 2.6–2.7mm thick reaches approximately 3mm after colouring and coating. Core selection and coating-layer thicknesses should be reviewed against the target product.

Which designs can be considered for MDF?

Woodgrain, stone, decorative colours and custom patterns are within the described product scope. The design and colour sample, printing materials and expected finish guide the process and equipment review.

Where does the UV coating fit in the process?

The UV coating is applied and cured as the final surface layer after colouring and decoration. Coating material, layer order and drying conditions must work together; finished surface properties are assessed with a product sample.

What should we send for a line proposal?

Send core dimensions and thickness, finished thickness, design and colour samples, coating materials, target capacity and plant space. These inputs are needed to select coating, drying and panel-transfer stations.
