Profile Wrapping Production Line

Wrapping wood and plastic profiles with decorative film and an adhesive system. Profile shape, substrate, foil and adhesive determine the feeding method, glue application, pressure and speed settings.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

From bare profile to wrapped surface

The profile is guided through the transfer path, and adhesive-coated foil is applied to its surface. Guiding, pressure and speed settings are matched to the profile shape. PUR equipment and cold- or hot-adhesive options are reviewed against the substrate and foil.

Product specifications, materials and factory conditions guide the equipment and line-layout review.

PROJECT CONFIGURATION

A line arranged around the product

  • Manual, semi-automatic or automatic feeding according to the project
  • Adhesive and foil selected for substrate compatibility
  • Foil-guiding arrangement matched to the profile cross-section
  • Wrapping speed and pressure adjusted for the product
  • PUR system in a configuration matched to hot-melt adhesive

Before selecting the line

Answers about the process, materials and project configuration.

Which profiles can be considered for wrapping?

The described scope includes MDF, particleboard, natural wood, thermowood and plastic products; WPC profiles are also listed among applications. Foil, adhesive and settings should be reviewed for each substrate and profile cross-section.

Is PUR adhesive used for every material?

PUR is one described option, while cold and hot adhesives can also be reviewed according to the materials. Adhesive type depends on the substrate, foil and process conditions and should be defined before equipment selection.

How are feeding and machine settings selected?

Profile dimensions and cross-section, target capacity and part-handling method guide the choice of manual, semi-automatic or automatic feeding. Foil guidance, speed and pressure are also matched to the product geometry and materials.

What information is needed for an equipment proposal?

Send the profile substrate and cross-section, part dimensions, foil type and sample, selected adhesive, target capacity and plant space. A profile and foil sample helps review the glue-application and wrapping arrangement.
