Raw MDF Production Line (Continuous Press)

Raw MDF production from wood and chip preparation through fibre refining, resin application, drying, mat forming and continuous pressing. Width, thickness, density and target capacity guide the line-layout review.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

From wood chips to raw MDF board

Wood is converted into chips and prepared for fibre production. After resin application and drying, fibres are formed into a mat and enter the continuous press. Cooling and cutting complete the board-production route; line settings depend on the raw material and product specification.

Product specifications, materials and factory conditions guide the equipment and line-layout review.

PROJECT CONFIGURATION

A line arranged around the product

  • Described effective-width options: 1,830, 2,070 and 2,300 mm
  • Described thickness range: 8–32 mm; selection depends on the product
  • Refining, resin application and drying arranged for the raw material
  • Continuous pressing matched to target width, thickness and density
  • Final capacity depends on the product, press speed and equipment configuration

Before selecting the line

Answers about the process, materials and project configuration.

What are the main continuous-press MDF stages?

The production route includes wood and chip preparation, storage and thermal conditioning, fibre refining, resin application and drying, mat forming and continuous pressing. After pressing, the board is cooled and cut to the required dimensions.

Which width and thickness options are described?

The described configuration lists effective widths of 1,830, 2,070 and 2,300 mm and a thickness range of 8–32 mm. The final selection is reviewed against the product, density, raw material and equipment arrangement and defined in the technical proposal.

How is production capacity determined?

Capacity depends on line width, board thickness and density, press speed and equipment configuration. Target capacity and the production schedule should be supplied with the product specification so that proposed capacity can be assessed for that project.

What information is needed for an MDF plant proposal?

Send board width and dimensions, target thickness and density, wood and chip specifications, resin type, target capacity, operating schedule and plant and utility information. These inputs guide the review of preparation, fibre production, pressing and board handling.
